THE USEFUL PART
- A moving camera earns its place when your pet roams several rooms; for one room, a fixed camera may do the job.
- Enabot lists a 10 mm obstacle limit for all three models, so measure door strips and rug edges first.
- ROLA Mini has no dock and no patrol mode; EBO Air 2 Plus and EBO X drive back to charge on their own.
The short answer
A camera robot lets you drive through your home from your phone to find, watch and talk to your pet while you are at work. Enabot's ROLA Mini ($169), EBO Air 2 Plus ($399) and EBO X ($999) are three price points for this job; self-charging and scheduled patrols separate them more than the camera does.
We chose these three because Enabot publishes a price and a specification sheet for each in its US and EU stores, which we read on 17 October 2026. This guide relies on that published information; we have not tested the robots with a pet.
Is a moving camera the right tool?
Start with how your pet uses the home. If a cat sleeps in three rooms and hides under the bed, a camera that drives to it answers the question a fixed camera cannot: where is she, and is she all right? If a dog stays in one room behind a gate, a fixed camera pointed at that room shows the same thing without a charging routine or a route to plan.
A camera robot is also not care. It cannot feed, walk or let out a dog, and it is not a treatment for a pet that is distressed when left alone. Enabot's ROLA Mini page mentions relief from separation anxiety; treat that as marketing, not evidence, and take a pet that panics when you leave to a vet or a qualified behaviorist first.

Set it up in five steps
Do this on a day off, with your pet at home, before you rely on the robot from work. Each step uses a figure or feature from the table above.
- Walk the route at floor level. Enabot lists 10 mm as the highest obstacle and 15° as the steepest slope for all three models, so measure door strips, rug edges and any step.
- Pick the charging spot. EBO Air 2 Plus and EBO X need a dock they can drive back to; ROLA Mini charges on a magnetic USB-C cable, so leave it where you can reach it.
- Test Wi-Fi along the route. All three list 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi; a weak corner at home becomes a frozen picture at work.
- Introduce the robot while you are there. Drive it slowly, try the sounds and watch how your pet reacts before the first workday.
- Set access before you leave. Decide who else can view, switch on the privacy controls you want and choose between local SD recording and a Cloud+ plan.
Which one fits your day
ROLA Mini suits a pet you want to find and talk to a few times a day. It is the cheapest, it rights itself if your pet knocks it over, and Enabot rates its battery at up to 25 days of normal use. The trade-off: you drive every check-in by hand, it has no patrol mode and it never docks, so a flat battery waits for you to get home.
EBO Air 2 Plus is the middle choice for a workday. It runs up to 10 scheduled patrol routes, sends alerts about unusual movement, follows the people and pets it recognizes and drives back to its dock when the battery is low. EBO X adds V-SLAM mapping and a stabilized 4K camera for $999, and its listed 2 to 3 hours of battery make the dock essential.
Prices differ by storefront. On 17 October 2026, Enabot's EU store listed ROLA Mini at €149 against $169 in the US, EBO Air 2 Plus at 399 in both currencies, and EBO X at €1,099 against $999. Check which version ships to your country: the US listing for ROLA Mini is the International Version and the EU listing is the EU Version.
Can a robot look after my pet while I'm at work?
It can help you check on your pet, not look after it. A camera robot like Enabot's ROLA Mini or EBO Air 2 Plus lets you find, watch and talk to your pet from your phone. It cannot feed, walk or let out a pet, so it supports a care plan rather than replacing a sitter.
Do Enabot robots need a subscription?
Not for local recording. ROLA Mini and EBO Air 2 Plus include a 32 GB SD card, and ROLA Mini lists 24 hours of free cloud storage for motion recordings. Enabot sells Cloud+ subscriptions for 24/7 cloud playback and storage; their prices were not shown on the product pages we read, so check them before subscribing.
Does ROLA Mini have a laser pointer?
No. Enabot's ROLA Mini FAQ says it has no laser pointer, and the EBO Air 2 Plus FAQ says the same. Both list built-in sounds and actions to keep your pet interested, and ROLA Mini takes extension accessories such as a teasing stick, sold separately. Check which accessories fit before you order.
