BEFORE YOU DECIDE

Universal Robots gave the UR5e a 2.5 kg payload upgrade and renamed it UR7e in May 2025; its range checked on 17 October 2026 lists the UR7e-920 and no UR5e. For a new arm, quote the UR7e against its own datasheet.
Check gripper weight and the actual application against the payload specification.
Collaborative capability does not remove the need to assess the complete application.
Confirm the exact edition, current destination availability and delivered price with the seller. A listed product is not a live-stock guarantee.

LIVING WITH THE HARDWARE

Assembly: Requires mechanical mounting, control-box and tool integration, application configuration and commissioning. The end effector and complete workcell must be specified for the task.
Computer & setup: The robot uses its control box and PolyScope operator interface. External development tools add their own computer requirements; match instructions to the installed PolyScope version.
Connectivity: UR5e manuals document Ethernet for industrial protocols and remote access. Available interfaces and setup steps depend on the controller and software configuration.
Development access: Universal Robots publishes programming and integration documentation, including URScript and external-control workflows. Match the development path to the controller and installed software.
